Employee brand experiences have a key role in determining their confidence in their employer, it has been claimed.
Worker confidence has declined across all but one of the 12 countries tracked by Kenexa Employee Confidence Index, which suggests that employees are feeling less favourable towards their employers.
Confidence in their employer's future, manager leadership and motivation has been hit by uncertain economic conditions over the last few months, according to Kenexa analysis.
The UK, Japan and France were among the countries where confidence was lowest, while employee motivation in the US was also among the lowest.
Kenexa Research Institute Consultant Anne Herman explained: "This trend suggests that employees may have been lenient in their assessment of their organisations' leadership over the past year.
"Given the length of the recent recession, their patience may be wearing a bit thin and this leniency may not continue into 2010."
Kenexa will be hosting its 2010 Global Leadership Forum next month on June 2nd, in which organisers hope to address what it means to provide effective leadership and provide lasting value to an organisation.
