Employee motivation drives Molson Coors results

Date: 19/08/2010

Effective employee motivation strategies have driven growth at international brewer Molson Coors.

According to the firm, its strong and innovative leadership and motivation programme will help it achieve its goal of becoming the fourth biggest brewer on the planet.

Speaking to People Management, the firm's HR director Tracey Ashworth-Davies said: "We have a very strong growth agenda so finding the right people with the right attitude and the right skills is really our core activity, apart from making beer!"

She added that every single department in the business has a target for the number of "promotable people" it employs.

"This process is reviewed every quarter to ensure that managers are focused on developing people," she told the news provider.

She added that in the UK, Molson Coors strives to employ 300 "promotable people" at any given time.

American Express recently claimed that reward and recognition programmes are a good way to keep staff engaged.
