Give employee motivation a boost by implementing support and wellbeing programmes, according to Right Corecare.
Kevin Friery, clinical director at the organisation, said it is important employers give staff access to good support in order to develop their psychological wellbeing and the specific skills they need to do the job.
Such initiatives will help mould rounded employees, staff who can both do the job and psychologically cope with the pressure of being an employee, he said.
"I think employers should be putting in place programmes and services to improve resilience and actually teach people the skills for resilience, and give them access to confidential support when they're struggling to help them discover better ways to cope with the inevitable pressure," Mr Friery explained.
Some 39 per cent of employees claim that stress levels are too high, and attribute this to the attitude and approach of their boss, according to a recent survey by the Chartered Management Institute.
A third (34 per cent) of employees also report that they no longer enjoy their job.
