Employee motivation: Shortlist announced for Top Employers for Working Families awards

The Top Employers for Working Families awards, which give incentives and recognition to companies who are supportive of working parents and carers, have announced its shortlist for this year.

Designed to recognise creative approaches to developing family friendly policies in the workplace and flexibility towards employees, the awards also aim to advise on best practice and help to improve working lives for parents.

There are a number of awards and the categories include: Best for Mothers; Best for Fathers; Best for Carer Progression; and The Flexible Working award, which was won by Centrica Plc in last year's awards.

The entrants will be judged anonymously by a panel of experts and the winners will be announced on September 27th.

Sarah Jackson, chief executive of Working Families, said: "Our research shows that employers who support their staff's work-life balance by offering flexible and family-friendly working will benefit from a committed and loyal workforce."
