Employee motivation: Incentives take on a seasonal twist

Date: 02/09/2011

Employees at Payday Express contact centres have seen their incentives and recognition go seasonal and take on specific themes at different times of year.

In recent weeks items of picnic and barbeque summer equipment have been displayed around the offices, which will be given away to the top performing agents.

The summer theme however is not the first they have had, as the team have enjoyed other seasonal incentives, as well as rewards linked to international events, such as the World Cup when the best employees competed to win a Wii console.

Payday Express is very keen on employee motivation and has recently stressed the importance of effective staff inductions into the company.

Sarah Carroll, operations manager at Payday Express, said: “It’s important to keep staff enthusiastic at work. We like to think of different incentives to introduce a bit of excitement and competition into their day, which increases job satisfaction and ultimately productivity.”
