One of London's most popular venues has again been celebrated as successful in its ability to host corporate events following a leading security conference based at the venue.
Earls Court played host to the 2009 Infosecurity Europe show, which registered an increased turnout of five per cent in comparison to last year's event, highlighting the popularity of the show and the location despite the effects of the global financial downturn.
Over 12,445 visitors attended the event, which provided two new lecture theatres, increased educational facilities and other visitor locations, emphasising how major team building and corporate events may be well suited to the venue.
Commenting on the new setting for Infosecurity, Dr Guy Bunker of the Symantec Corporation said: "Earls Court is miles better than Olympia. Much more space [is available] and yet it felt like a much more intimate event.
"The presentation rooms were fantastic compared to the ones at Olympia - [there is] more space to fit more people in."
Another major development for conference facilities kicked off this week, with sports secretary Andy Burnham cutting the turf at Lancashire's Old Trafford ground, which will soon be home to one of the biggest corporate event suites in the country.
