EDF Energy launches new sustainability live brand experience

Date: 09/06/2010

International energy giant EDF has launched the latest initiative in its Green Britain Day sustainability marketing drive.

The firm is hoping to spark consumer desire to live sustainably through a number of live brand experiences.

EDF has signed up a long list of celebrities to back its new live brand experience campaign, including Danielle Lineker, Lauren Laverne and Jamelia.

The three will become Team Green Britain ambassadors.

As well as Green Britain Day - a live brand experience which will be held on June 17th - the company will instigate Team Green Britain Bike Week, which will take place between June 19th and June 27th.

Rob Merrington, senior manager for brand communications at EDF Energy, told CampaignLive: "This year, our campaign is focused around encouraging people to look at different areas of their lifestyle and make changes for the better."

Recently, Slogar Vitamins recruited Sir Geoff Hurst to promote its joint-pain product Celadrin.
