Doritos in giant living room live brand experience
Date: 07/06/2010
Doritos has created the UK's largest living room on the banks of the River Thames as part of a major live brand experience marketing campaign.
The living room - which was launched on June 3rd - was built on London's Potter's Field.
Doritos' King of Living Rooms featured a nine metre-long sofa, a 4.5m-tall lamp and a huge television set complete with over-sized TV remote.
The TV set showed the three adverts that made it into Doritos' King of Ads campaign final.
Three amateur directors are battling it out for £200,000 as well as having their advert shown on national television on June 13th.
Commenting on the King of Ads competition, Bafta winning Doritos judge Noel Clarke said: "The public are going to love the final three ads and I can't begin to predict who's going to win - it's entirely up to the British public."
In 2008, Doritos transmitted the first ever television advert into space after a similar customer participation competition.
