Corporate events management sector remains positive

Date: 24/09/2010

Professionals in the corporate events management sector have remained relatively positive despite the recent economic downturn.

According to Event magazine, delegates from the industry spoke positively during the Big Industry Debate at Event UK this week.

Tfconnect chief executive Trevor Foley was one such positive thinker, suggesting that as long as firms keep reinventing their corporate events they will be able to stay afloat in the uncertain economic climate.

Foley suggested that the current corporate events management focus was on the quality and not the quantity of events being offered.

Meanwhile, Stanco deputy chairman Neil Jackson was reported by the news provider as saying: "I predict we will see a dip in the industry again but from 2012 there will be a steady growth."

Last month, Angela Whitlock, author of employee motivation almanac Walk on the Grass, claimed that many corporate events are lacking in creativity.

She told Management Today that every company should strive to create innovative corporate events.
