According to Jongleurs, not only did corporate events management allow it to push ahead with a £2 million expansion, but corporate team building activities may have actually saved the UK comedy sector from a spate of club closures.
Prior to the credit crunch, corporate event management accounted for 40 per cent of the firm's revenue, but the organisation expects this to increase in the future.
Kempinska Davy, owner of the comedy club chain, told the Daily Telegraph: "People are beginning to see that comedy isn't this alternative, dark room where people are going to be threatened. We can deliver comedy at all levels,"
"England's second language is comedy. It's a thriving business with miles to go," she added.
Meanwhile, Blackpool Park Golf Club is hoping to hit its financial targets with the help of corporate event management, reports Blackpool Aloud.
