Corporate event management: Virtual tours of facilities at sporting venues to be launched

A new approach to corporate event management is to be launched, as digital tours of some of the top sporting venues will be offered to those thinking of making bookings.

Wimbledon, Twickenham and Lord's Cricket Ground are to be among those where a virtual 360 degree tour will be available.

Made possible by £10,000 worth of top quality, state of the art filming, 20 venues in total will offer potential corporate hospitality guests the chance to look around from afar.

All sorts of decisions related to hosting an event will be easier to make through the technology, which will allow the viewer to zoom in to look at food and features of the spaces available.

It also gives the client the opportunity to see what the venue looks like when it is full of people and how events work in these sorts of spaces.

All this is possible through high resolution technology, which can be extended to take up the full screen.

Sporting themed events are expected to be popular this year with London holding the 2012 Olympic Games and such a venue could lend itself well to that.
