Why not use corporate conferences to discuss the latest issues facing businesses, as it's a great chance to deliver a strong company message to everyone at once.
One of the big topics at the moment is flexible working, and after the ash cloud threatened to cause disruption earlier this week, Virgin Media Business has urged companies to put in place contingency plans to deal with unforeseen occurrences and corporate event management is a good time to discuss this work workers.
Alistair McKinnon, senior product manager of IP (internet protocol) multimedia at Virgin Media Business, said that the effect on deadlines as well as employee performance and productivity "could be considerable".
"Yet this can often be avoided by embracing remote collaboration tools that allow workers to meet up virtually, including videoconferencing, teleconferencing and desktop sharing," Mr McKinnon said.
A recent study by Virgin Media Business found that there has been an increase from 14 per cent last year to 64 per cent this year in the number of businesses which say they are equipping their workers with the right know-how and technology to work out of the office.
