Corporate event management: The Shard to open as event space in 2013

Anyone involved in corporate party planning may find themselves contemplating London's newest landmark as a corporate hospitality venue.
It is hoped that the Shard will be opened up for corporate guests after The View from the Shard experience is launched in February 2013.
Ruth Howlett, head of PR for the experience, said: "We will run the visitor experience exclusively from February to May and after that we will hopefully be able to host private and corporate events."
Though not yet taking bookings for corporate clients, members of the public can pre-book tickets to visit the highest viewing platform in Western Europe at a cost of £24.95.
Those in the event industry are constantly looking for new venues for conferences, meetings and parties that will inspire investment and participation in a business.
There is no doubt that the Shard would not fail to impress as a corporate event venue for any firm wishing to hire it.
