If your business provides online services then you may consider collaborating with internet security firms to make sure your customers are protected.
This may be something you could discuss at corporate conferences, as it offers all members of staff an opportunity to voice their opinions, which could be productive and refreshing.
A recent article for publicservice.co.uk by Ann Swain, home affairs chairman for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), she said that one-quarter of businesses say they are deterred from buying and selling online because of the risk and fear of e-crime.
So what methods of online protection can businesses discuss at corporate conferences?
According to Rik Ferguson, director of security, research and communications at Trend Micro, online security needs to be adopted "in a more widespread fashion".
"We want to see partnerships with people like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, whoever, so they can try to [prevent] things like the posting of malicious links or anything that's going to compromise the security of their users.
"The answer is twofold- it needs to be adopted by the provider and it needs to be incorporated into consumer and enterprise offerings by the security manufacturer as well."
