Corporate event management: Make workers feel involved with corporate conferences

Date: 26/05/2011

Corporate conferences are a great way for staff to boost their careers, as they offer the opportunity to hone their skills and help them move up the employment ladder, an expert has said.

If businesses planning corporate event management were ever in doubt that the events are useful, then Ruth Spellman should put these doubts to bed.

Ms Spellman, chief executive of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) has emphasised the importance of keeping skills up to date.

And what better way to enhance the skills of your employees than speak to them all at one time at corporate conferences.

It's also a great opportunity to help the workers feel more involved in the company, bearing in mind recent research from the CMI which said that 45 per cent of employers think the number of workers who feel valued has dropped in the last six months.

"It's very clear that employers like their employees to have skills and to actually be updating their skills on a regular basis," said Ms Spellman.
