Corporate event management: Discuss internet expansion with colleagues at corporate conferences

Date: 03/06/2011

Use corporate conferences to discuss the big issues facing companies at the moment, such as how the internet can be used to promote and increase business.

Corporate conferences are a great way to communicate with staff, and what better time to explain the company's policy with staff and discuss how it will develop in the future.

Making sure there is clear and effective dialogue between managers and workers is an important part of boosting staff morale, as Ruth Spellman, chief executive of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), said last week.

So use corporate event management as an opportunity to discuss expanding the use and understanding of web technology, as knowthenet.org.uk has recommended.

Phil Kingsland, site director, has said that there is "tremendous scope" for the growth of businesses on the internet.

"For many small businesses, taking the time to read around developments in web technology and growing their understanding of how they can tie this into their business could make a huge difference," he said.
