With all eyes on the UK for the Olympic Games and Diamond Jubilee next year it is a great opportunity for companies abroad to hold their corporate conferences and events here.
David Cameron understands this and is encouraging the idea that Britain can be developed as a brand with the launch of the Great campaign, which hopes to deliver an economic legacy from the events of 2012.
The campaign includes plans for a Global Investment Conference to be held on the eve of the Games in London to showcase British business and emphasise the potential of the Olympic year.
As an expected four million extra visitors will be pouring into the country, tourism will be a fundamental aspect of the campaign.
Posters for the campaign, which cost £500,000, are designed to epitomise all the reasons why Britain is great, including images of Wallace and Gromit, as well as Richard Branson and crowds at the Reading festival.
Mr Cameron said: "This campaign is simple. There are so many great things about Britain and we want to send out the message loud and proud that this is a great place to do business, to invest, to study and to visit."
