Those in charge of corporate event management may wish to build events around the big issues facing your workforce, so why not talk about how to make it easier to juggle a work-life balance.
Dalia Ben-Galim, from the Institute of Public Policy Research (IPPR), has pointed out that there are increasing numbers of mothers leaving their jobs due to financial pressures and childcare costs.
"Anecdotally we are hearing more and more stories of mothers exiting the labour market as childcare costs continue to rise alongside other living costs.
"This is squeezing family incomes even more. In terms of measures – there are a couple of areas that I would focus on. More affordable childcare – childcare costs continue to rise adding additional pressure on family budgets."
Why not offer childcare credits as part of a staff incentives and recognition scheme – you could even introduce it as sales incentives.
Whatever you decide, it's part of good leadership motivation to make it easier for your workers to balance their work and home commitments – so use corporate conferences to discuss the possibilities.
