Corporate event management: Are virtual conferences the way forward?

Date: 22/02/2011

It seems like all aspects of modern businesses are heading online and now corporate conferences organisers are faced with the decision of whether to hold live or virtual events.

The topic, which has divided the industry, is up for discussion at Virtual Event World on Thursday February 24th, reports Event Industry News.

Ian Irving, director of Experience This, or rather his avatar, will be taking to the floor to demonstrate the role virtual conferences have in the events world.

While he will argue that virtual corporate conferences do have a place today, he will also look at whether they will ever be able to measure up to live events, which can provide so much more in terms of touch, taste, sight and smell.

Virtual Event World is the world's only virtual trade exhibition for event industry professionals and will be open for ten months this year.

Exhibitors can book virtual stands at the event, enabling them to reach a wider audience.
