An incentive scheme specialist has highlighted the importance of using incentives in the workplace as they serve both the interests of management and staff.
Clint Greenleaf, a business expert for entrepreneurial resource Inc, said ignoring the power of staff incentives would be "catastrophic" and that using them effectively has proven to be one of the major galvanising forces in human history.
He continued: "In your own business, make sure that you use the right incentives to create the right behaviours and encourage your government to do the same.
"It's the single best path to success - and ignoring it is a path straight to failure."
Businesses may want to enrol their company in an incentive scheme tailored to a company through a corporate event or team building exercise.
The government's Business Link facility highlights the benefits of staff incentive schemes, such as the retaining of existing staff, a boost in productivity and an increase in staff morale and loyalty.
