Companies 'cut advertising before staff incentives'

Date: 23/01/2009

Cutbacks are being made across the board at different companies which wish to stop any losses, with staff morale still shown to be a major concern of businesses.

Opus Energy carried out a survey in conjunction with YouGov which found that employee incentives are still important to many businesses, with recognition schemes also only coming second to IT spending in prioritised outgoings.

The firm continued: "16 per cent of managers vowed not to reduce spending on extras for employees such as biscuits, tea and coffee and entertainment, which can help maintain vital staff morale particularly in a gloomy economic climate."

Companies wishing to get the most out of their employees may want to follow this trend and look to events management companies to organise hospitality events on their behalf.

YouGov is a trusted professional research and consulting organisation which harnesses information technology to formulate results, regularly carrying out accurate polls on behalf of the government.ADNFCR-2060-ID-18988259-ADNFCR
