Communication is critical to team building activities

Communication is a vital aspect of effective team building activities, it has been claimed.

According to leadership and motivation expert Patrick James Duffy, no team can function if communication breaks down, which is why it is such an important factor.

He claimed that if communication is a problem then strategies need to be implemented to ensure the issue is addressed - which could include organising corporate team building events.

Writing for Seaway News, Duffy said: "When I start examining a team's communication capability, I evaluate what functional systems are already in place.

"If all the right communications systems and procedures are in place and being used properly, a team has the tools for clear and direct forward movement."

Industry expert Al Lock recently told the Bangkok Post that team building corporate events are an excellent means of boosting communication skills and improving collaboration between different departments within an organisation.
