Communication in the workplace has been highlighted by the newest man to enter the fray in Formula One, with the recently-appointed team boss aiming to improve morale.
Eric Boullier, the head of Renault F1, revealed that upon his entry to the team, he realised that staff morale had dipped after allegations and other revelations which affected the pride and viability of another season in the motorsport for his team.
Towards the end of the 2009 season, it was revealed by Nelson Piquet Jr, one of the two drivers for the team, that he had been asked to stage a crash at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix to give an advantage to Alonso, forcing instigators Pat Symonds and Flavio Briatore to leave the team.
Mr Boullier continued: "However, the team is now very motivated thanks to the new philosophy that the Renault F1 Team wants to implement and, when it was presented at the factory shortly before Christmas, it was welcomed with applause.
"Everyone is now refreshed and ready for action."
