A new conference centre in the north-west could get backing from a major organisation after it announced its intentions to help with the facility's development, it has been reported.
Richard Thomas, the chief executive of the Chester Race Company, spoke to the Chester Chronicle about how Cheshire West and the local council approached him regarding plans to build a new entertainment and conference facility on Little Roodee car park.
The new event space may be perfect for team building conferences or live brand experiences - something which could appeal to the executive's company.
Mr Thomas told the newspaper: "We have always said we want to be at the centre of the cultural offering in Chester and it makes sense, if they are going to talk about it, that we would help them."
No money has been pledged, though intellectual input has been given to the council by Chester Race Company.
Elsewhere in the north-west, Manchester Central announced it would be hosting some major team building conferences for the Labour Party in the coming years.
