By holding a team building corporate event or similar in a different location each month or year, businesses will be able to keep things fresh, it has been asserted.
Gillian Hibberd, the corporate director of people and policy at Buckinghamshire County Council as well as the president of the Public Sector People Manager's Association (PPMA), believed this to be the case and made her recommendations to Personnel Today.
She explained that with the PPMA, conferences are to move from Harrogate to Manchester and then to London over the next two years as previous locations had become "slightly tired".
Ms Hibberd continued: "We needed to add some freshness to the event and give it more of a spark.
"Simply changing the venue generated this extra interest and excitement as it gave people somewhere new to explore, discover and, hopefully, enjoy."
One location which may interest people is the Treadgolds Centre in Portsmouth, which has been given just under £1 million by the government to refurbish its facilities, the Portsmouth News revealed.
