Boss has high hopes for Manchester Central

Manchester Central continues to go from strength to strength, despite the future of the complex being open to question only four years ago.
Back when the complex was the G-Mex in 2005, Lesley Tomlinson - an accountant formerly with KPMG - did not expect to work in her capacity as a rejuvenating force with the building for too long, the Manchester Evening News has reported.
Yet now, even though the recession continues to take its toll, the corporate hospitality event space continues to do well, with major work going into its appearance and facilities.
Ms Tomlinson said that while many clients have had to reduce their scale, Manchester Central is happier to host smaller events than no events at all.
She continued: "But because we have taken the decision to move away from exhibitions and corporate, to conferences and large public sector events, it has given us a bit of a buffer.
"A key task is to continually extend the season and we constantly look at ways of broadening the product."
Last week, it was announced that Manchester Central is to host the X-Factor, with stars Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh judging contestants in the new live studio audience format.
