Boosting employee motivation with magic

Businesses can boost employee motivation and stand out at corporate events by staging more interesting team building events and activities, it has been claimed.

According to HR expert Nick Crown, using a magician at corporate team building events can lift spirits and help to better engage staff members and other stakeholders.

Writing for About My Area, Mr Crown said: "Who says team building events have to follow the pack?

"Magic requires physical and mental skills that many people use in their day-to-day lives and jobs without even realising.

"A magician for hire will be able to showcase and explain how these skills can be used in the workplace and keep staff members interested and entertained throughout the whole day."

He added that getting corporate entertainment right is a difficult task, but using a magician for hire can turn a Christmas party or launch event into something special which staff will remember.

Recently, Tesco's internal communications event manager Kate Conway claimed that corporate team building events do not have to be expensive to be effective.
