The BT Convention Centre has announced that its sales to the team building conference sector, among others, have seen its figures in the last four months improve by 140 per cent.
According to the venue, which is based in Liverpool, it is a huge indication that the location and the events industry as a whole are very much improving, with the ACC Liverpool facility hosting 13 corporate events during the time.
BT Convention Centre head of sales Kerrin MacPhie said: "We have noted a change in business patterns as FTSE-100 companies and other large corporates consolidate their traditional programme of events into one all-encompassing event."
She said that while many companies would regularly look for a variety of mid-sized venues across the UK in the past, a number of them are finding it a much more obvious choice to instead opt for an upscale venue close to the heart of the UK's infrastructure, making it easier for team building conference attendees to converge.
ACC Liverpool's complex, which includes the BT Convention Centre and the Echo Arena, can be found next to the Grade I-listed Albert Dock, which is home to Tate Liverpool, the Beatles Story and a large number of high-quality bars and restaurants.
