Aviva Stadium secures first conference deals
Date: 11/01/2010
A stadium which is still being built has already captured the hearts and minds of corporate events management in the last week, following an announcement from the facility's owner.
The new Dublin-based sports field, Aviva Stadium, has claimed it will be the host of the CEPIC Congress 2010 for 700 delegates representing European picture agencies and picture-archive services.
Furthermore, a team-building conference for the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland has also been revealed attracting 300 delegates across the three-day meeting.
Louise Amphlett, Lime Venue Portfolio head, said: "At the beginning of a decade set to revolve around sport, and taking into consideration the success of other sporting venues, it is very exciting to be launching the Aviva Stadium."
The stadium was built to replace the ageing Lansdowne Road, which was previously home to the Irish football and rugby teams, who are currently playing their matches at Croke Park while the development of Aviva Stadium is completed.
