MotivAction's Commitment to the Environment

Climate change is a scientific fact and business has a huge impact. Taking action is a moral imperative - the technology and abilities are available to make a difference, and there are simple steps that can be taken. It is now a case of whether companies have the impetus to adapt their ways and help alleviate the problems already caused.

If we are to save the planet, responsible businesses must lead by example. Now is the time for action.

We are committed to help ease climate change by becoming a 'carbon neutral' company. This means reducing our carbon emissions as much as possible, then offsetting the remainder. Our Green Events policy means that we consider how to reduce the carbon impact of our clients project or event and provide options to offset the remainder.

Environmental Policy Statement

The MotivAction Group plc is one of the country’s leading event management companies and we operate in a variety of locations. Due to the nature of our business and equipment we use, it is our intention to do this with the minimum of impact on the environment. We at MotivAction will lead the way and exceed all applicable legislation with regards to the environment.

Protection of the environment in which we live and operate is part of The MotivAction Group’s values and principles and we consider it to be sound business practice. Care for the environment is one of our key responsibilities and an important part of the way in which we do business.

In this policy statement we commit our company to;

1. Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice as the very minimum.
   
   
2. Protect the environment by striving to prevent and minimise our contribution to pollution of land, air, and water by;
   • using the most environmentally friendly methods of transport wherever possible
   • encouraging our clients and suppliers to do the same when travelling to events by suggesting greener methods of travel
   • striving to keep paper usage to a minimum by communicating and storing electronically and encouraging clients and suppliers to do likewise
   • purchasing locally and keep transportation to a minimum
   
   
3. We shall also where possible reduce, reuse and recycle materials to the fullest extent possible by;
   • purchasing from like minded companies
   • reducing the use of non recyclable materials
   • reusing or refurbish materials and equipment where possible
   • manage the disposing of all waste and where it is recyclable, recycle 100%
     
     
4. We shall also provide training for our staff so that we all work in accordance with this policy and within an environmentally aware culture.
   • We will regularly communicate our environmental performance to our employees.
   • By developing our management processes we will ensure that environmental factors are considered during planning and implementation.

By monitoring and continuously improving our environmental performance The MotivAction Group plc will become a leader in environmental issues within the event management field.

This policy statement will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. The management team endorses these policy statements and is fully committed to their implementation.
