The Road to Carbon Neutrality, and Beyond.... Updated Daily!

This page summarises some of the actions, big and small, that we have taken and are planning to take.

Throughout 2007, we made a significant impact to our carbon footprint -in total reaching a 30% reduction from approximately 275 tonnes of C02 to 170 tonnes. The majority of this saving was down to a switch to renewable electricity suppliers Ecotricity - leading to a carbon footprint of zero for electricity consumption. After investing in carbon offsets through Climate Care in 2007, MotivAction also became 'carbon neutral'.

2008 is now seeing further environmental efforts being taken, and an independent eco-audit has highlighted some of the other environmental achievements we have made, including reducing electricity usage by 45%, reducing transport emissions by 33% and increasing our recycling rate to match some of the highest in Europe. This eco-audit has also identified further areas in which progress can be made, and we are currently working towards improving in these.

MotivAction has since set a new goal: to become carbon negative.
